Why New Year's Resolution Fail

Well, My Dear Ones, are you still able to keep your New Year’s resolutions?! Americans call this belief: “New Year, New Me”?! Alas, no matter how cool the phrase is, New Year, but “I’m" still the same “old” dude! Now you will say no, it’s not like that at all. However, the statistics are disappointing. New Year's resolutions can easily be placed on the list of failures...

WHY DON’T THEY WORK?

When we make promises to someone, they are supported by external factors. It’s kind of “inconvenient” for us to play with someone else’s trust! And when we make promises to ourselves, they quickly lose their power, because you can always come to an agreement with yourself! OF COURSE,

New Year's resolutions and future plans are always better than no resolutions at all. This is the first step (decision) to take action, combined with the intention to achieve a result. Alas, practice shows that people screw up! Their willpower evaporates. The incentive disappears. There is not enough outside support...

THEN HOW?

Gradually form habits that will become your way of life. Don’t want to change everything at once! You won’t get far on “desires” alone. They will be the first to fall off as soon as life goes even a little differently from plan, and support from within or without is not enough. Only such a union as DISCIPLINE (to do despite your mood, to do because you decided to do) and AUTOMATISM (it never occurs to you NOT to do) is a perpetual motion machine for results forever.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT?

Even those successful citizens who seem ideal to us... are not ideal at all. They also have breakdowns, illnesses, or life circumstances simply interfere. Because this is life, it happens, and no one is perfect. You just need to get back into mode and continue. In my opinion, this is the most difficult and most valuable part. Those who succeed are not flawless. They simply continue to act in their best interests despite the circumstances that have always been and will be!
